Why I quilt

Never in all my years had I envisioned myself sewing anything. My two sisters and I now share an office where we sew on an almost daily basis.

My older sister took right to loving the hobby, and so much so, that she set up shop in an office located in our father's office building. It wasn't long before there were three sewing machines humming away in that office.

This created for us an opportunity to spend time together - laughing, talking, and sewing! My little sister's daughter and first grand baby visit often, along with Mom and, of course, Dad (after all, it's his office space)! It has been wonderful! Big sis was very wise when she gave her two younger sisters beautiful fabric for a quilt, as a birthday gift. The catch - she was not making the quilts, we were. I can tell you, I have learned a lot, and realize how incredibly rewarding it is to sew.

I have a problem here

Do you free motion quilt? Did you know that it takes longer to take your stitches out than put them in? Yeah. It does. But doing it twice is a good thing. You always learn something that you should have known the first time.
